Ingredients

Scale
  • 15 ounces white cake mix
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 eggs
  • 3 ounces raspberry Jell-O
  • 3 ounces berry blue Jell-O
  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 12 ounces cold whipped topping
  • Fresh fruit (raspberries, strawberries, blueberries)
  • Red, white, and blue sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the white cake mix, water, sour cream, vegetable oil, and eggs. Mix until smooth.
  3. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for about 25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Allow to cool completely.
  4. Once cooled, poke holes evenly across the top of the cake using a skewer or wooden spoon handle.
  5. Prepare each flavor of Jell-O as directed on the package. Pour raspberry Jell-O over one half of the holes and berry blue Jell-O over the other half. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours until set.
  6. To create the creamy topping, beat together cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Gently fold in the whipped topping.
  7. Frost the chilled cake with the cream cheese mixture and garnish with fresh fruit and sprinkles.
