  • 1 cup Cold Butter
  • 1/2 cup Grated Apple
  • 1 cup Chilled Buttermilk
  • 3 tablespoons Unsalted Butter for glaze
  • 3 tablespoons Honey for glaze
  • pinch Salt for glaze

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, sugar, salt, and spices.
  3. Cut in cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Fold in grated apple and create a well in the center; pour in buttermilk and mix until just combined.
  5. Turn out dough onto a floured surface and pat into a rectangle about one inch thick; cut out biscuits.
  6. Place biscuits on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 15–20 minutes until golden brown.
  7. For the glaze, melt butter in a bowl and stir in honey and salt until smooth; brush over warm biscuits.
