Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 medium apples, peeled, cored, and diced
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough (8 biscuits)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat. Add diced apples, granulated sugar, and ground cinnamon; cook for about 4-5 minutes until softened.
  2. Mix cornstarch with water in a small bowl to create a slurry, then add it to the apple mixture and cook for another minute until thickened. Let cool slightly.
  3. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  4. Separate and flatten each biscuit into approximately 1/4-inch thickness.
  5. Place about one tablespoon of the cooled apple filling in the center of each biscuit, fold over edges to seal well.
  6. Dip each sealed bomb into melted butter and roll in the cinnamon sugar mixture before placing seam-side down on the baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown and serve warm.
