Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325°F. In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, eggs, sour cream, and vanilla extract. Beat until smooth. Pour into a lined springform pan and bake for 40–45 minutes until set. Cool completely.
- For the banana cake layer, preheat the oven to 350°F. Whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in one bowl. In another bowl, cream softened butter and granulated sugar until fluffy; add eggs one at a time along with mashed bananas and vanilla extract. Alternate adding dry ingredients with buttermilk until combined. Divide batter between prepared pans and bake for 25–30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
