  • 2 ounces cream cheese (room temperature)
  • 7 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1/4 cup fruit juice or broth (as bourbon replacement)
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 8 ounces toffee chips
  • 1/2 cup pecan pieces (chopped small)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt; set aside.
  3. In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add melted butter, fruit juice or broth, egg, and vanilla extract; mix until creamy.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture until just combined. Fold in toffee chips and chopped pecans.
  5. Cover dough and refrigerate for at least two hours.
  6. Scoop dough onto prepared baking sheets about two inches apart.
  7. Bake for 12–15 minutes until slightly golden. Cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.
