Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package of puff pastry (2 sheets, thawed)
  • 100g dark chocolate (chopped or chocolate chips)
  • 100g almond paste
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • 2 tablespoons milk (for egg wash)
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the thawed puff pastry sheets on a lightly floured surface and cut each into four triangles.
  3. In a small mixing bowl, combine the chopped dark chocolate and almond paste until well blended.
  4. Take one triangle of puff pastry, place about a tablespoon of the filling at the wide end, and roll towards the point to form a croissant.
  5. Arrange the rolled croissants on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Whisk together the egg and milk for an egg wash; brush this mixture over the tops of each croissant.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes until they are puffed and golden brown.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before dusting with powdered sugar and serving.
