Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 red apples
  • 1 can refrigerated cinnamon roll dough
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter (melted)
  • 4 tbsp brown sugar
  • Powdered sugar (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (191°C). Spray a 9-inch round baking dish with nonstick cooking spray and set aside.
  2. Unroll several cinnamon rolls from the can and arrange them into a spiral to fill the bottom of the dish.
  3. Halve each apple lengthwise, remove cores, and slice into thin pieces.
  4. In a large bowl, toss apple slices with lemon juice to prevent browning.
  5. Mix melted butter and brown sugar in a small bowl, then coat the apple slices thoroughly.
  6. Microwave apple slices for about 2 minutes until pliable; drain excess liquid.
  7. Arrange apple slices in a row, overlapping slightly, and roll them into roses.
  8. Place apple roses in the center of the cinnamon roll spiral and fill gaps with additional slices.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
  10. Dust generously with powdered sugar before slicing and serving.
