Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar (for topping)
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. In another bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in milk and vanilla extract until smooth.
  5. Gradually combine the dry ingredients with the wet mixture until just combined; avoid overmixing.
  6. Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan and sprinkle half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture on top.
  7. Pour in the remaining batter and top with the rest of the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  8. Use a knife to swirl through the batter gently to create a marbled effect.
  9. Bake for 50–60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  10. Cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
