  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons butter (divided)
  • 8 ounces cremini mushrooms (sliced)
  • 1/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/2 cup white apple vinegar
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Cut each chicken breast in half lengthwise to create four thinner pieces. Season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper, then coat with flour.
  2. Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken for about 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown. Transfer to a plate.
  3. In the same skillet, add remaining butter and sliced mushrooms with Italian seasoning. Cook for 5-6 minutes until the mushrooms release their moisture.
  4. Stir in minced garlic and cook for one minute until fragrant. Add white apple vinegar and deglaze the pan, cooking until reduced by half.
  5. Mix in heavy cream and return the seared chicken to the skillet. Cook for an additional 5 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and the sauce thickens slightly.
