  • 6 cups peeled, sliced apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • ½ cup flour
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup cold butter, cubed

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine sliced apples, granulated sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, lemon juice, and flour. Toss until evenly coated.
  3. Pour the apple mixture into the unbaked pie crust.
  4. In another bowl, mix together flour and brown sugar for the topping. Cut in cold butter until crumbly and sprinkle over the apple filling.
  5. Place the pie on a baking sheet and bake for 45–50 minutes, or until apples are tender and topping is golden brown.
