  • 4 cans pinto beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro

Instructions

  1. In a large sauté pan over medium-high heat, cook turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same pan, sauté onion and jalapeno until soft; add garlic and cook until fragrant.
  3. Add broth, pinto beans, brown sugar, and spices to the pan; stir well.
  4. Simmer uncovered for about 15 minutes on medium-low heat.
