  • 1/4 cup sugar (or honey/maple syrup)

  • 2/3 cup fresh-squeezed lemon juice (about 45 lemons)
  • 3 cups cold water (or sparkling water)
  • Ice

Instructions

  1. Wash the strawberries under cold water and hull them.
  2. In a small saucepan, combine sugar and 1/4 cup of water. Heat over medium until sugar dissolves; remove from heat and let cool.
  3. Blend strawberries with cooled simple syrup until smooth.
  4. Optionally strain the puree through a fine mesh sieve for a smoother drink.
  5. In a large pitcher, mix strawberry puree, lemon juice, and cold water (or sparkling water). Stir well.
