Ingredients

  • 1012 baguette slices (about ½” thick)
  • 6 tbsp olive oil, divided
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 avocado
  • Juice of ½ lime
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 12 large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 big garlic cloves, cut into slivers
  • ¾ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon cumin
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cut the baguette into 10-12 slices (½ inch thick) and arrange them on the baking sheet.
  3. Mix 3 tablespoons of olive oil with garlic powder in a small bowl; brush both sides of each baguette slice with the mixture.
  4. Bake for 10-15 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  5. Mash the avocado in a bowl and mix in lime juice, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
  6. In a skillet, heat the remaining olive oil over low heat; add slivered garlic cloves and sauté for 2 minutes until fragrant.
  7. Increase heat to medium-high; add shrimp, smoked paprika, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Cook for 3-5 minutes until shrimp are pink and opaque.
  8. Spread mashed avocado on each crostini and top with a shrimp; serve immediately.
