Ingredients
- 2 pounds large shrimp (peeled and deveined)
- ⅓ cup olive oil
- ¼ cup chopped cilantro (plus more for garnish)
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- 2 jalapeños (stemmed, seeded, and minced)
- 2 tablespoons agave nectar
- 2 tablespoons blanco agave syrup
- 1½ tablespoons soy sauce
- Zest of 1 lime
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt (plus more as needed)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together olive oil, garlic, jalapeños, agave nectar, agave syrup, soy sauce, lime zest, and salt until combined.
- Add the shrimp to the marinade, coating them evenly. Cover and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes or up to 2 hours.
- Skewer 4 to 6 marinated shrimp onto soaked wooden or metal skewers.
- Preheat your grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.
- Grill the skewers for about 2–3 minutes on each side until shrimp turn pink and opaque.
- Garnish with additional cilantro and serve with lime wedges.
