  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon pineapple juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 cup fresh pineapple, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 2 green onions, sliced

Instructions

  1. Prepare the sauce by mixing soy sauce, honey, brown sugar, rice vinegar, pineapple juice, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper in a bowl. Set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until pink.
  3. Remove shrimp from skillet and sauté garlic and ginger for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Pour in the prepared sauce and let simmer for 1-2 minutes to thicken slightly.
  5. Return shrimp to the skillet and toss to coat evenly with the sauce. Simmer for another minute.
  6. Stir in chopped pineapple and cook for an additional minute.
  7. Drizzle with sesame oil, add lime juice and cilantro before serving.
