Ingredients
- 2 tea bags (family size) or 8 regular tea bags
- 8 cups water (divided)
- 1 pint fresh strawberries
- 1 cup sugar
- Ice for serving
- Optional garnishes: sliced lemon and strawberries
Instructions
- Prepare the strawberry syrup: Wash and quarter strawberries. Boil them with 1 cup water for 10-15 minutes, then strain out the pulp and stir in sugar until dissolved. Cool the syrup.
- Brew tea: Boil half of the water, steep tea bags in it for 5 minutes, then discard bags. Combine brewed tea with the remaining cold water in a pitcher.
- Mix: Stir cooled strawberry syrup into the brewed tea until well combined.
- Serve: Fill glasses with ice and pour in the strawberry iced tea. Garnish as desired.
