Ingredients
- Ground beef (80/20): 500 g / 1 lb
- Fresh spinach: 120 g / 4 packed cups
- Garlic: 4 cloves
- Onion: 1 small
- Breadcrumbs: 60 g / ½ cup
- Milk: 60 ml / ¼ cup
- Egg: 1 large
- Grated hard cheese: 40 g / ½ cup
- Olive oil: 2 tbsp
Instructions
- Sauté the chopped spinach in a skillet over medium heat until wilted. Let it cool and squeeze out excess moisture.
- In the same skillet, cook grated onion until soft, then add minced garlic until fragrant. Remove from heat.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine all ingredients including the sautéed spinach and onion-garlic mixture. Mix gently until well incorporated.
- Shape into about 16–18 equal-sized meatballs.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and pan-cook the meatballs until browned on all sides and cooked through—about 10-12 minutes.
- Allow the meatballs to rest for a few minutes before serving.
