Ingredients

  • 6 chicken quarters
  • ½ apple
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • ¼ cup rice vinegar
  • 2 inches ginger
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 2 stalks green onion
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp sweetener (sugar)
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • Sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, sweetener, and pepper.
  2. Grate the ginger and mince the garlic; add to the marinade along with finely chopped apple and sliced green onions. Mix well.
  3. Marinate chicken in a resealable bag or bowl for at least 15 minutes (up to overnight).
  4. Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 5 minutes.
  5. Place chicken in a single layer in the air fryer basket and cook for 25 minutes, flipping halfway through until golden brown.
