- 6 chicken quarters
- ½ apple
- ¼ cup soy sauce
- ¼ cup rice vinegar
- 2 inches ginger
- 4 cloves garlic
- 2 stalks green onion
- 2 tbsp sesame oil
- 2 tbsp sweetener (sugar)
- 1 tsp pepper
- Sesame seeds (optional)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, sweetener, and pepper.
- Grate the ginger and mince the garlic; add to the marinade along with finely chopped apple and sliced green onions. Mix well.
- Marinate chicken in a resealable bag or bowl for at least 15 minutes (up to overnight).
- Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 5 minutes.
- Place chicken in a single layer in the air fryer basket and cook for 25 minutes, flipping halfway through until golden brown.
- Let rest for a few minutes before serving, optionally garnished with sesame seeds.
