Description

Longhorn Spinach Dip is a creamy, garlicky delight that mimics the popular dish from Longhorn Steakhouse. This easy-to-make dip combines the richness of cream cheese and a blend of cheeses with the vibrant flavor of spinach. It’s perfect for gatherings, game days, or a cozy night in. The best part? It’s freezer-friendly, allowing you to prepare it ahead of time and enjoy a savory treat whenever the craving strikes. Serve it warm with fresh veggies, chips, or toasted bread for an irresistible snack that will have your guests asking for the recipe.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 oz spinach (or 6 oz frozen spinach, thawed and drained)
  • 2 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 5 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 3/4 cup white cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 Tbsp Panko bread crumbs
  • 2 Tbsp parmesan cheese (for topping)
  • 1/2 Tbsp unsalted butter (melted)

Instructions

  1. If using fresh spinach, sauté it until wilted; if using frozen, ensure it’s fully thawed and drained.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and sauté minced garlic until fragrant (about 1 minute).
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine cooked garlic with cream cheese and mix until smooth. Gradually stir in heavy cream.
  4. Add parmesan cheese, white cheddar cheese, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and prepared spinach into the mixture; blend well.
  5. Transfer to a baking dish, top with Panko bread crumbs and additional parmesan cheese, then drizzle melted butter over it.
  6. Bake in an oven preheated to 350°F for about 10 minutes or until bubbly and golden.
