Ingredients
- 2 ripe mangos (peeled & diced) or 1 ½ cups frozen mango (thawed & drained)
- 2–3 habanero peppers (stemmed & seeded)
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- ½ cup honey or maple syrup
- ¼ cup apple cider vinegar
- 2 tbsp soy sauce or coconut aminos
- ½ cup water (adjust as needed)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- ½ tsp salt
Instructions
- In a saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and chopped habaneros; sauté until fragrant (about 1–2 minutes).
- Transfer the mixture to a blender along with diced mangoes, honey or maple syrup, apple cider vinegar, soy sauce, and water. Blend until smooth.
- Return the blended sauce to the saucepan and simmer on medium-low heat for 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally until thickened.
- Taste and adjust flavors as desired—add more honey for sweetness or vinegar for tanginess.
- Cool completely before transferring to jars; store in the refrigerator for up to 7–10 days.
