  • 2 habanero peppers (seeded for less heat)
  • 4 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat until shimmering.
  2. Sauté minced garlic for about one minute until fragrant.
  3. Add chopped mango, habanero peppers, honey, apple cider vinegar, soy sauce, lime juice, and salt; stir well.
  4. Simmer for 10–15 minutes until mango softens and sauce thickens slightly; stir occasionally.
  5. Remove from heat and let cool slightly before blending until smooth.
  6. Adjust sweetness with more honey or acidity with lime juice as desired.
  7. Transfer to a jar or bottle once cooled completely.
