  • 1 egg
  • 1 small onion, diced finely
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped parsley
  • 1/2 cup Panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese
  • 4 oz fresh mozzarella
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 12 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp basil, dried
  • 1/2 tsp oregano, dried
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • pepper

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, egg, onion, garlic, parsley, Panko breadcrumbs, parmesan cheese, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
  2. Cut mozzarella into 1/2 inch cubes.
  3. Form meat mixture into balls around mozzarella cubes—about 2 tablespoons each.
  4. Heat olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Brown meatballs on all sides.
  5. Pour marinara sauce over browned meatballs and simmer for about 10 minutes.
