Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp baking powder
- ½ cup salted butter (softened)
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 1 egg
- ½ cup creamy peanut butter (not natural)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 44 Whoppers (for decoration)
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- White cake decorating gel
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, mix together flour, baking soda, and baking powder.
- In another bowl, cream softened butter with granulated and brown sugars until fluffy. Mix in the egg, peanut butter, and vanilla until well combined.
- Gradually blend dry ingredients into wet mixture until just combined.
- Roll tablespoon-sized dough balls in granulated sugar and place on a lined baking sheet.
- Bake for about 8 minutes or until lightly golden. Press a Whopper onto each cookie while still warm.
- Melt chocolate chips and pipe legs and eyes on each spider using the melted chocolate and white decorating gel.
