  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ cup salted butter (softened)
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • ½ cup creamy peanut butter (not natural)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 44 Whoppers (for decoration)
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • White cake decorating gel

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, mix together flour, baking soda, and baking powder.
  3. In another bowl, cream softened butter with granulated and brown sugars until fluffy. Mix in the egg, peanut butter, and vanilla until well combined.
  4. Gradually blend dry ingredients into wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Roll tablespoon-sized dough balls in granulated sugar and place on a lined baking sheet.
  6. Bake for about 8 minutes or until lightly golden. Press a Whopper onto each cookie while still warm.
  7. Melt chocolate chips and pipe legs and eyes on each spider using the melted chocolate and white decorating gel.
