- 1 bay leaf
- 2 sprigs fresh thyme or ¼ teaspoon dried thyme
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- ⅛ teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 can (15 ounces) pumpkin puree
- ½ cup heavy whipping cream
- Fresh parsley for garnish
