  • 1 cup smoked brisket, finely chopped
  • 1 cup beef broth cheese sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 16 oz refrigerated pizza dough
  • 6 cups water
  • 1/2 cup baking soda
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Coarse sea salt, for sprinkling
  • 1/4 cup melted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface and cut it into 12 equal squares.
  3. Place a spoonful of smoked brisket and a dollop of beef broth cheese sauce in the center of each dough square.
  4. Pinch the edges to seal and form each filled square into a ball shape.
  5. In a large pot, bring water to a boil and add baking soda. Boil each dough ball for 20-30 seconds.
  6. Remove with a slotted spoon and place on the baking sheet.
  7. Brush with beaten egg wash and sprinkle with coarse sea salt.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and brush with melted butter before serving.
