- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 8 oz fettuccine (or pasta of choice)
- Reserved pasta water, as needed
Instructions
- Cook fettuccine in salted boiling water until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water and drain.
- Season chicken with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat and sear chicken until golden brown (6–8 minutes). Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter, add minced garlic, and cook until fragrant (30 seconds).
- Stir in honey and let simmer for 1 minute.
- Add heavy cream and simmer until slightly thickened (2–3 minutes).
- Return chicken to the skillet, coating well in the sauce.
- Toss in cooked pasta; add reserved pasta water if needed to adjust sauce consistency.
- Serve hot, garnished with parsley or green onions.
