  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 tbsp sriracha
  • 2 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 2 tsp arrowroot powder mixed with 2 tbsp water to make a slurry
  • 23 tbsp water for spicy mayo
  • 1/2 cup mayo
  • sesame seeds for topping
  • broccoli florets

Instructions

  1. Cook rice according to package instructions.
  2. Chop broccoli into florets; set aside.
  3. Slice chicken breasts into strips; season with salt, pepper, chili powder, smoked paprika, onion powder, and oregano.
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat; cook chicken until golden brown and fully cooked (6-8 minutes).
  5. Steam or sauté broccoli until tender yet vibrant green.
  6. In a bowl, whisk soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, garlic, sriracha, sesame oil, ground ginger, and arrowroot slurry.
  7. Pour sauce into the skillet with chicken; simmer until thickened (about 5 minutes).
  8. Assemble bowls with rice as the base topped with sticky chicken strips and broccoli; drizzle spicy mayo and sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
