  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 4 minced garlic cloves
  • 1 tablespoon minced ginger
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • Optional: 1 teaspoon chili flakes

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, minced ginger, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and optional chili flakes. Whisk until mixed well.
  2. Marinate the beef belly in the mixture for at least 1 hour (overnight recommended) in a resealable bag or dish.
  3. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). Place marinated beef belly in a roasting pan with leftover marinade; cover with foil.
  4. Roast for about 180 minutes until tender. Uncover, increase temperature to broil, glaze with additional marinade if desired, and broil for an additional 5–10 minutes until caramelized.
  5. Let rest before slicing; garnish with sesame seeds and green onions.
