  • 0.25 cup sugar
  • 0.25 cup brown sugar
  • 1.25 tsp vanilla essence
  • 1 tsp white vinegar
  • 1 large egg
  • red food coloring
  • 2 tbsp semi-sweet chocolate
  • 4 tbsp white chocolate
  • oil-based food coloring

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line your baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
  2. In a large bowl, combine all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Whisk together until well blended.
  3. In another bowl, beat together unsalted butter, sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy and light in color.
  4. Add vanilla essence, white vinegar, and egg to the butter mixture; mix until smooth.
  5. Gradually add the dry mixture into the wet mixture while stirring continuously until fully combined.
  6. Stir in red food coloring until you achieve your desired shade of red.
  7. Using bear-shaped cookie cutters, cut out shapes from your dough on a floured surface.
  8. Place shaped cookies on the prepared baking sheet and bake for about 10 minutes or until edges are set.
  9. Once baked, let them cool completely before melting semi-sweet chocolate and white chocolate for decoration.
