- 1.25 tsp vanilla essence
- 1 tsp white vinegar
- 1 large egg
- red food coloring
- 2 tbsp semi-sweet chocolate
- 4 tbsp white chocolate
- oil-based food coloring
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line your baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
- In a large bowl, combine all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Whisk together until well blended.
- In another bowl, beat together unsalted butter, sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy and light in color.
- Add vanilla essence, white vinegar, and egg to the butter mixture; mix until smooth.
- Gradually add the dry mixture into the wet mixture while stirring continuously until fully combined.
- Stir in red food coloring until you achieve your desired shade of red.
- Using bear-shaped cookie cutters, cut out shapes from your dough on a floured surface.
- Place shaped cookies on the prepared baking sheet and bake for about 10 minutes or until edges are set.
- Once baked, let them cool completely before melting semi-sweet chocolate and white chocolate for decoration.
