  • 8 ounces cream cheese (softened)

  • 3/4 cup walnuts (chopped)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F and prepare a 9.5-inch angel food cake pan by greasing it.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon; set aside.
  3. In another bowl, cream together softened butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time along with mashed bananas and vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually mix in dry ingredients alternating with the sour cream until just combined. Reserve a quarter cup of batter for the cream cheese filling.
  5. In a separate bowl, beat reserved batter with cream cheese and sugar until smooth.
  6. Layer half the banana batter in the prepared pan, spread the cream cheese mixture over it, then top with remaining banana batter.
