Instructions

  1. Macerate strawberries: In a small bowl, mix diced strawberries with granulated sugar and let sit for about 10–15 minutes. Drain excess juice and toss with flour.
  2. Preheat oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a loaf pan with parchment paper.
  3. Mix dry ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  4. Combine wet ingredients: In another bowl, mix sugars, melted butter, oil, eggs, buttermilk, and vanilla until smooth.
  5. Combine mixtures: Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and fold gently using a rubber spatula until just combined.
  6. Add strawberries: Carefully fold in the floured strawberries.
  7. Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for about 55–65 minutes or until a skewer comes out clean.
  8. Cool: Allow the bread to cool in the pan for about 15 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack.
  9. Glaze: Once cooled slightly, whisk together powdered sugar and milk; drizzle over the bread.
