  • 4 sweet Vidalia onions
  • 1/2 cup finely grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish)
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Pinch of cayenne pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  2. In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise, sour cream, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, and cayenne pepper for the dipping sauce.
  3. In another bowl, combine Parmesan cheese, paprika, cayenne pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  4. Cut the tops off the Vidalia onions and slice them into 12 to 16 sections without cutting through the root. Gently separate the petals.
  5. Sprinkle the cheese-spice mixture evenly over each onion blossom.
  6. Drizzle oil over the onions and grill for about 15 minutes until tender and charred.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving with dipping sauce.
