Ingredients

  • 6 turkey or beef hot dogs
  • 3 ½ cups mozzarella cheese
  • 1 ½ cups almond flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon xanthan gum
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Insert wooden skewers into each hot dog.
  2. Melt mozzarella cheese in a microwave-safe bowl until fully melted.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix almond flour, baking powder, xanthan gum, and salt.
  4. Combine melted cheese, egg, and dry ingredients to form dough using an electric mixer or food processor.
  5. Roll out the dough between parchment paper to about ⅛ to ¼ inch thick.
  6. Wrap the dough around each hot dog completely and seal.
  7. Fry two corn dogs at a time in pre-heated oil over medium heat until golden brown on all sides.
