With easy preparation and customizable spice levels, you can impress your guests with a dish that bursts with flavor without being overly complicated. Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 cup chili sauce
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 4 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper

Instructions

  1. Soak wooden skewers in water for 30 minutes (if using). If using metal skewers, skip this step.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, chili sauce, lemon juice, minced garlic, and ground red pepper. Reserve 1/4 cup of marinade for basting.
  3. Add shrimp to a gallon-sized zip bag and pour in the marinade. Seal and refrigerate for 20 minutes.
  4. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat (350° to 400°F).
  5. Skewer the marinated shrimp onto soaked wooden skewers or metal skewers. Discard any remaining marinade from the bag.
  6. Grill skewers for 2 to 3 minutes on one side; baste with reserved marinade before flipping and grilling for another 2 to 3 minutes until cooked through.
